FAQS
-
Where does your salt come from?
The water we harvest for salt-making comes from the crisp, clean waters of the Atlantic Ocean near Charleston, SC.
-
Do you offer tours of your facility?
Unfortunately, we do not have a storefront at this time and are not able to offer facility tours.
-
Do you sell wholesale?
Yes, we do! Please reach out to us at info@langesalt.com for more information.
-
Why is shipping so expensive?
Have you seen the price of postage lately?! Our shipping is auto-calculated by USPS/UPS based on actual package weight and dimensions. Our goal is to break even on shipping, we are not profiting off it. A helpful tip: combine multiple items into a single purchase and shipping only marginally increases, you’ll get much more bang for your buck!
-
Do you ship international?
We are only offering domestic shipping at this time.
-
Do you accept returns?
No, we do not accept returns. Letting salt re-enter our facility once it’s been out of our possession is just too risky. If you have a quality issue you’d like to discuss, please reach out to us at info@langesalt.com.
-
Are all of your products organic and/or non-GMO?
According to the USDA, salt cannot be certified as organic because it is a mineral and not a product of agriculture. Likewise, salt contains no DNA, meaning it cannot be genetically modified. While we can’t be certified Organic or Non-GMO, just know that our salt is as clean as it gets!
-
Is your salt gluten free?
We are not yet certified as gluten free, but know that our pure sea salt is the only product we make in our facility. Nothing is added to our salt. Until we are certified, however, please use your discretion when using our salt if you are gluten sensitive/allergic.
-
Are all of your products certified kosher?
We are in the process of gaining kosher certification, but not yet officially certified. Our processes and procedures are in line with kosher certification requirements and we expect to be officially certified soon!
-
Is your salt iodized?
Nothing is added to our sea salt, including iodine.
-
There's moisture in my salt, what do I do?
We do not use any anti-caking, bleaches or drying chemicals in making our salt. We recommend you store your salt in a cool, dry place. If you do notice some moisture in your salt, we recommend warming it in a glass baking dish in the oven for ~10 minutes at the lowest setting.
